Spring Update - April 6th
Most importantly, we wish all of our participating players, coaches, referees, and families good health and well-being during this disruptive time. We are honored to have such dedicated and enthusiastic clubs working together to form Central League Soccer. We sincerely hope to see you all on a soccer field soon.
Central League Soccer is working closely with our soccer partners at EPYSA and club leadership to determine the best path forward during the current health crisis. Our April 19th start date for spring league has been ruled out - however we recognize that the circumstances and conditions throughout the area and country are changing each day.
On the 20th of April or sooner, Central League Soccer advisory group and club leaders will assess the projected timetable for spring league soccer.
Many clubs have expressed interest in:
- a May/June format
- a consolidated June format
To create a flexible and club friendly format, we are discussing schedule models that could include:
- Start Dates: Beginning of May, Middle of May, Beginning of June.
- Game times/days : playing games mid-week &/or weekends
- Format: possibly offering double headers or round robin at a central location
These scheduling decisions will be forthcoming as conditions allow.
We will keep everyone up to date on all decisions and timelines moving forward, in hopes to have competitive matches this spring.
Again, the Central League wishes you and your family all the best during this time.
